General Requirements For Admission Into Various Programmes

Below is the minimum entry requirements for National Diploma (ND)

  • Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings in WASSCE/NECO and its equivalents.
  • In addition, candidates for ND would be accepted for admission following satisfactory performance in the UTME (JAMB) examinations and meeting departmental requirements with the relevant subject combinations.
  • Candidates who did not choose Auchi Polytechnic may also apply for admission into the National Diploma Programmes. Such candidates are required to effect a change of choice of Institution through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) by making Auchi Poly their first choice institution.

Entry Requirements for Higher National Diploma (HND)

Below is the minimum entry requirements for Higher National Diploma (HND)

  • Candidates for any of the Higher National Diploma (HND) courses must possess the National Diploma (ND) of the Polytechnic with a minimum of Lower Credit or an equivalent qualification from other similar institutions whose courses have earned NBTE accreditation.
  • In addition, candidates must have satisfied the Auchi Polytechnic Matriculation requirements for the National Diploma Programme and must have at least one year Post National Diploma (ND) Industrial Experience.
  • Evidence of relevant one year Post-ND Industrial Experience and academic transcripts from the candidate’s Institution must be submitted along with the allocation for Higher National Diploma admission. Where the applicant’s qualification falls short of Lower Credit, he/she should have at least (2) years of Industrial Experience.
