We have published the accredited list of courses and departments at BUK Kano as all the BUK courses have received full NUC accreditation.

Admissions into the Bayero University Kano (BUK) is through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). In addition to meeting the generally required standard in UTME, candidates must satisfy the general school requirement for admission as well as the specific Bayero University courses and Faculty requirements.

Any student seeking admission into any degree program offered in the school must have at least five credits in English Language, Mathematics, and any other relevant subjects in WAEC/NECO/SSCE. Below is a list of BUK courses as well as the requirements to study these courses.

The above are all the undergraduate courses offered at Bayero University Kano. Satisfying the admission requirements listed below is mandatory if you want to be admitted to study your preferred course.

Bayero University Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission at the Bayero University Kano, interested candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings in O’ level examinations conducted by WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB or their equivalent.

The general entry requirements for the Part-time degree programmes are OND (with merit), NCE, IJMB (with a minimum of 8 points), GCE ‘A’ Level (3 credits) and HND (Pass). Applicants must also possess all the necessary ‘O’Level requirements applicable to the regular full-time undergraduate admissions. This means that credit in English is compulsory for all courses applied, while Mathematics is necessary for science-based courses and the social sciences.

In addition, each candidate must score a minimum of 180 in the UTME Examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
