The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) is more than just a military training school. Students who are accepted into the academy will not only receive military training but will also go through rigorous academic training as Officer Cadets for a period of 5 years.

General Admission Requirements
For admission into all programmes
- Candidates must obtain at least 5 credit passes (WAEC, NECO) in not more than 2 sittings including English Language and Mathematics.
- Present a certificate of origin from the local Government.
- Score at least 180 or above in JAMB
- Be a single male or female without legal obligations to any dependents.
