If you want to become a corp member, then you need to apply for the National Youth Service Corps via the official NYSC application portal. The entire registration process is simple.
www.portal.nysc.org.ng is the official NYSC registration portal. To be among corps members, prospective candidates need to apply for the National Youth Service Corps through this online portal.

Requirements For NYSC Registration and Mobilization Of Graduates
Prospective corps members are to note the following in order to ensure a successful registration.
- Prospective Corps members should ensure that they have functional e-mail addresses that they can access and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register. They will use the Email address and password to log in to the NYSC portal subsequently and so are advised to keep it safe.
- Locally trained prospective Corps members are expected to use correct Matriculation numbers to register.
- For locally-trained graduates, only those whose names appear in the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their Institutions will have access to the register on the NYSC portal.
- Anybody who presents any fake document will be demobilized and decamped and handed over to law enforcement agencies for prosecution.
- Prospective corps members should ensure that the Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:

- Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and jaw) is fully shown without bending
- Ensure the picture fills the frame and centralized
- Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.
- Prospective corps members should not register by PROXY. They should also remember the fingers used for their biometric capturing as these will be used for verification at the orientation camps. Those who cannot be verified with their biometrics at the orientation camp will not be registered.
- Only prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent to them through SMS and wish to PRINT their call-up letters online are expected to pay N2,786.24 (see NYSC Portal on how to make payment).
- Prospective Corps members who do not want to pay the N2,786.24 have the option of going to their schools to collect their call-up numbers and call-up letters.
- All prospective corps members who paid for the online registration before but were not mobilized need not pay again.
- Married female prospective corps members (whether locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their marriage Certificates, evidence of Change of name, and their husband’s place of domicile during registration.
- The orientation camp is highly not ideal for pregnant and nursing mothers. Prospective corps members in this category are therefore to note that they will not be accommodated.
- All Part-time graduates are expected to register online and print exclusion letters online
- Foreign-trained graduates are to use Nigerian Phone numbers during the online registration.

NYSC Online Registration Procedures
- To register, visit the NYSC registration portal via portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1
- Create an account with your functional email address on the NYSC registration
portal. - Activate your newly created account by clicking on the activation link sent to
your email address provided during account creation. - Proceed to fill in your details.
- Capture Biometric. (Note this should not be done by proxy).
- Upload a clean and clear-off white background passport photograph.
- Preview your registration form to ensure the details are correct.
- Agree with the registration terms and conditions.
- Upload your scanned signature or sign using a digital signature scanner
- Click on submit
- Keep your login details for subsequent use.
You will receive an email notification immediately after you complete your registration on the NYSC portal. You need to check the email for more information.
If you are registering for NYSC for the first time, you are to click on the ”Registration for Mobilization” link on the homepage. But if you had already registered before but did not complete your registration, then you don’t have to create a new account. All you need to do is to log in and continue your registration using the Username and Password you provided.
Also, if you were among those mobilized in the previous Batches but you were unable to appear at the Orientation Camp at the scheduled date, all you have to do is to click on the “Revalidation” link to re-validate your registration.
As a prospective corp member, we strongly advise you to register before the NYSC registration closing date as the National Youth Service Corps may choose not to extend the registration deadline.
