For UTME Candidates: Must have chosen OAU, Ile-Ife as the First Choice Institution in 2023/2024 UTME and scored 200 and above. Possess at least five (5) credit passes, including English Language, at no more than two (2) sittings. Not participating in the PUTME screening will lead to disqualification.
For Direct Entry Candidates: No extra screening other than verification of uploaded credentials. Make sure that transcripts are forwarded to OAU’s Admission Office for DE Admission processing.

- A General Certificate of Education (or equivalent) with Credit passes in at least five subjects.
- One pass must be at O’Level or equivalent in English Language.
- Except for the Faculty of Arts, Law, and Bachelor of Arts in Education, one credit pass must be in Mathematics at O’Level.
- A pass in the Higher School Certificate’s General Paper is equivalent to a credit pass in English Language at ‘O’ Level.
