OAU school fees 2024: The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has announced adjustments to the undergraduate fees payable by new and returning students for the 2024/2025 academic year.

These adjustments were carefully reviewed and approved during an emergency meeting of the University Senate. The school authority wishes to reiterate that these adjusted fees are applicable for an academic session.

Therefore, we have published the Obafemi Awolowo University school fees structure for the various faculties including the Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Humanities.

OAU school fees for all courses vary by faculty. All freshers and current students are to take note of the approved fee structure for all undergraduate programs. The new approved fees are also applicable to direct entry students as well as students pursuing part-time programs.

Faculties of Technology and Science

Since the University management has agreed that the payment can be in two equal installments, you can know the total cost of OAU school fees per semester by dividing the fees for the full year.

OAU Acceptance Fee

The Obafemi Awolowo University acceptance fee is N20,000 only. The acceptance fee is a mandatory payment that all newly admitted students must make in order to secure their admission into the university.

This fee serves as a confirmation of the student’s admission offer at the university and covers various administrative costs associated with the admission process. All returning students are exempted from paying the acceptance fee.

OAU Hostel Accommodation

Obafemi Awolowo University Payment Procedures

All payments are required to be initiated exclusively through the University PORTAL. This can be done by simply clicking on the “PAYMENT OF FEES” option located on the student’s Home Page. In order to proceed with any payment, it is essential to download the PAYMENT SLIP corresponding to the specific type of payment you intend to make.

This includes separate PAYMENT SLIPS for Acceptance, Main fees, and Accommodation (if applicable). The University PORTAL will automatically display the available payment options based on your status. For instance, if you have been allocated a BEDSPACE, the Accommodation fee will be visible for payment.

Once you have downloaded the necessary PAYMENT SLIPS, it is required to present two printed copies of the document to any branch of the Bank selected for payment on the University PORTAL. During the payment process, the Bank will retain one copy of the PAYMENT SLIP, while the other copy will be stamped and returned to you for record-keeping purposes.

OAU Admission Requirements 2024

• OAU only accepts 1st choice candidates. That means you must choose OAU as your preferred institution during JAMB registration.
• To be considered for admission at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), you must have at least five (5) credits in your WAEC or NECO at no more than two sittings. The credit pass must include English Language and Mathematics.
• The required jamb cut-off mark to be eligible for admission at the Obafemi Awolowo University is 200.
• For direct entry students, the institution accepts ND, A level, NCE, HND, and ICAN certificates.
